Tributary

A romantic short story. Knight Errant Aldius is sent to the small border town where the kind and charismatic King Elran rules. Elran watches Aldius fight for him and wishes to offer the good knight much more than just a bit of hay in the stables for warmth and bedding. Though neither knows how long the other may stay- perhaps that makes the desire all the better.
